The Visitacion Valley Greenway would not exist without a strong  volunteer base that worked in partnership with the Recreation and Park  Department and the Trust for Public Land to turn the formerly blighted  sites into the present day new paradigm for infill open space. Through  advocacy, fund raising, design, construction and work parties the  Visitacion Valley Greenway Project, which administers the Visitacion  Valley Greenway with the Recreation and Park Department, has sustained  these beautiful and unique parks.

As a continuation of that process the Visitacion Valley Greenway Project  welcomes volunteers from the local community, schools and those living  or working outside the community. The V V Greenway belongs to all and is  dependent upon every one of us for its survival.

The Greenway Gardeners group work most Saturdays and Sundays. Hours are  from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and you can come for as long as you like during  those hours. All are welcome and all levels of ability are needed. Your  time and energy will be greatly appreciated.
